Recent ϶graduate turning school project into business

When the WCSH show “207” visited the Makerspace at the ϶ in May of 2016, they immediately gravitated toward senior Matt Scheuer and the underwater remotely operated vehicle he was building. Now, as a recent ϶graduate Scheuer is perfecting the technology and working toward putting the ROV on the market.
In November, Scheuer returned to Biddeford for a demonstration with the ROV for ϶faculty and students. “207” came along to capture the technology in action. Underwater drones typically retail for about $10,000. Scheuer hopes to sell his for $1,500 to make them more affordable and accessible to buyers.
